My New Love!! (Sorry Matt)

Okay, so I never really indulge in anything for myself. I am always putting my husband and daughter first, so for my birthday, Matt convinced me to do something really special for myself. So I found this AMAZING diaper bag after spending hours upon hours on the Internet. It is the Whipstitch by Nest and I LOVE IT!!! No not more than my hubby or daughter, but it does rank really high up there!

Rian's Walking!!!

So while we were up in Idaho, Rian really started to gain the confidence she needed to start walking by herself (thanks Nanc)!!! Although her first few steps were on my birthday (Aug 26th), I think we can now say that last night she officially started walking!!! She just got up on her own and went and went and went, for like almost an hour! YAY Rian!


She is so proud....and she should be!

Rian is climbing on everything. Most of the time I am running over to her so she doesn't fall, so I don't get a pic. But look for more in the future...I'm sure there will be plenty! Oh yeah, she love to sit in Kaiya's (our dog) basket of toys too! But today she decided to climb up on her chair instead.

I put Rian's hair up in a ponytail for the first time today! Look Brea, now Rian has pretties too!

Rian and Kaiya

I just thought this picture was so cute, so I felt like I needed to share it. We put a gate up at the bottom of the stairs for two reasons: 1. To keep Rian from climbing up them and 2. To keep Kaiya upstairs while Rian is playing. Recently Kaiya has decided that she wants to be downstairs with us also, so she will sit right by the gate waiting for us to open it. So last night Rian went over to the stairs and started talking to Kaiya. Rian was even putting her arm up towards Kaiya, but I didn't get the camera fast enough to catch that (oh well)!

I'm Walking....Well Sort Of

So Rian took her very first steps on my birthday, August 26th. It was the absolute best birthday present ever! We are so proud of her! We love watching her learn and grow each and every day!

My First Birthday!

On August 4th, Rian turned one! (I know I am posting this way late!) I can't believe how quickly this past year went by. My baby is already one?!? Since we were in San Diego for her birthday, my parents helped us host this awesome birthday party! We had an astrojump (thanks to Jen and Noah), played in the pool all day, ate a huge mexican fiesta, and of course had cake and ice cream! Rian had no idea that this party was for her, but still enjoyed herself. It was so fun having all our friends and family there!

Dress Up!

We went to our stake msa activity (married student association) last Friday. It was western themed, so they had chili dogs, watermelon, homemade root beer and of course creamies for dessert (you can't go to an activity in Utah without having creamies for dessert, right?) They also had volleyball games, a roping contest, a pie eating contest, and of course, western pictures. So we dressed Rian up in a cute little red checkered dress, sat her up on top of a barrel of hay, and handed her the barrel of the gun...this was the outcome!

I Heart Hockey

Matt took up roller hockey again over the summer, since ice hockey isn't really popular in San Diego. He bought new skates and Rian loves playing with them...especially the laces. Believe it or not, she actually loves to watch her Daddy play. It's so cute!
