Rian and Kaiya

I just thought this picture was so cute, so I felt like I needed to share it. We put a gate up at the bottom of the stairs for two reasons: 1. To keep Rian from climbing up them and 2. To keep Kaiya upstairs while Rian is playing. Recently Kaiya has decided that she wants to be downstairs with us also, so she will sit right by the gate waiting for us to open it. So last night Rian went over to the stairs and started talking to Kaiya. Rian was even putting her arm up towards Kaiya, but I didn't get the camera fast enough to catch that (oh well)!

I'm Walking....Well Sort Of

So Rian took her very first steps on my birthday, August 26th. It was the absolute best birthday present ever! We are so proud of her! We love watching her learn and grow each and every day!

My First Birthday!

On August 4th, Rian turned one! (I know I am posting this way late!) I can't believe how quickly this past year went by. My baby is already one?!? Since we were in San Diego for her birthday, my parents helped us host this awesome birthday party! We had an astrojump (thanks to Jen and Noah), played in the pool all day, ate a huge mexican fiesta, and of course had cake and ice cream! Rian had no idea that this party was for her, but still enjoyed herself. It was so fun having all our friends and family there!

Dress Up!

We went to our stake msa activity (married student association) last Friday. It was western themed, so they had chili dogs, watermelon, homemade root beer and of course creamies for dessert (you can't go to an activity in Utah without having creamies for dessert, right?) They also had volleyball games, a roping contest, a pie eating contest, and of course, western pictures. So we dressed Rian up in a cute little red checkered dress, sat her up on top of a barrel of hay, and handed her the barrel of the gun...this was the outcome!

I Heart Hockey

Matt took up roller hockey again over the summer, since ice hockey isn't really popular in San Diego. He bought new skates and Rian loves playing with them...especially the laces. Believe it or not, she actually loves to watch her Daddy play. It's so cute!

The Happiest Place on Earth...Part 1

We went to Disneyland with Matt's family at the beginning of July. It was really fun! We had Rian pose under the R going into 'California' Adventure.

It's Been FOREVER....

I know it has been forever, but I totally have a legitimate excuse. Here it goes....San Diego was crazy busy and it didn't help that we didn't really have computer access either. We have tons of pictures and updates that I will slowly get posted. We just got back to Logan last week and it has been a chore getting things in order before Matt goes back to school. Now that we have a little bit of time to relax, I can start blogging again!!! So keep coming back, I promise pictures will be up soon!

I'm trying to post her morning hair again. Now that is has grown out a little maybe you can actually see it this time!

Rian would not staighten her legs so I could put her in the exer-saucer while I worked in the kitchen. So...I decided I would just sit her in it then. She really liked it and I thought it was so funny seeing her little feet up there too!

I'm 11 Months Today!

Rian celebrated this 'birthday' with the 4th of July. We can't believe how fast time is flying by.
