My friends always say that we don't have enough pictures of Rian and Mommy, so I am trying to be better at that.

Fun with Kaiya

Do you know how hard it was to get both of them to look at the camera at the same time. This is like take 14! Matt told me....what do you expect, it's a dog and an eight-month old. True!

Trip to Idaho

It wasn't easy trying to get all three of them to sit still for a picture. Usually at least one of them is making a funny face or looking at something else. We did the best we could!

Rian and I went to visit my sister in Cascade, ID the same week my parents were visiting. This is why I didn't update our blog forever. Rian cried every time I left the room or someone else tried to hold her. She didn't warm up to anybody until the last day we were there. At least we have all summer for her to get to know her grandparents!

Play Date

It's so fun to see the two of them interact with one another. I'm watching Kaitlyn twice a week for this month so they are really getting to know each other. And on the plus side, Rian loves having another baby here!

Reading the Paper

So we just got the mail and I was sitting with Rian on the floor so I could go through it. After a minute or two, I look over at Rian and I guess that she decided that she wanted to read the paper. We thought it was so funny, I had to get a picture!

This time we actually put the camera on timer and it worked pretty well. Isn't Rian's dress adorable!?! Grandma Lois bought it for her and we got so many compliments at church. Thanks Grandma! I also decided since is was such a fancy dress, that Rian was going to wear a headband too. If I ever put one on her, Matt usually takes it off before we leave the house. But today....I got my way!

Since Rian is too little for an Easter egg hunt, I made Matt go on one with her. My family tradition is to write rhyming clues in plastic eggs and have the clues send the kids all over the house until they find the Easter basket. So this is what Matt and Rian did. We had fun!

Rian's New Favorite Pastime

The Mirror. She loves looking at herself. So we put one in her crib to keep her entertained (for a few minutes at least). It's so cute.

Dinner with Friends

This was only the second time Matt and I have been out together without Rian since she was born. We were visiting San Diego during our spring break and left Rian with Grandma and Grandpa Pine while we went to Ruth's Chris Steakhouse for dinner. Yum! It was so good and we had such a fun time with Marlene and Steve. Matt and I are definitely looking forward to MANY more date nights while we are in San Diego for the summer since we have both sets of grandparents to babysit!

Cheerleader in Training

We have been watching some cheerleading competitions lately and I think Rian has really been paying attention to them. Here she is stunting with Daddy. She's such a natural! My little cheerleader in training!
